PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly return an arc length to a proper state after a long period short circuit is generated and released in pulse arc welding.SOLUTION: An output control method for pulse arc welding by which a weld current Iw in which a peak current Ip and a base current Ib are so made as to be one pulse period is electrically conducted, a feed back control is so controlled that a weld voltage Vw is equal to a weld voltage set value Vr and welding is performed. In the method, when generation of a long period short circuit is discriminated (t22), the weld voltage set value Vr is decreased during a transitional period (t21 to t42) until the weld voltage Vw becomes a steady state after release of the long period short circuit. Thus, an arc length, which is excessively extended due to generation of the long period short circuit can be quickly returned to a proper state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
