PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recorder which does not give rise to bending in a condensed spot array when the respective laser beams emitted from a beam-condensing lens are condensed onto acousto-optic modulators and does not give rise to errors in the spacings between the scanning lines when the condensed spots on the acousto-optic modulators are imaged on the surface to be scanned to scan this surface with the plural beams. SOLUTION: This optical recorder is provided with the multichannel acousto- optic modulators 1 to 10 in such a manner that the respective channels of the multichannel acousto-optic modulators are nearly horizontally arrayed.
