PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain recording paper including deinked pulp generated from waste paper such as newspaper, magazines and the likes, generating no feathering even when recorded by ink jet printer, excellent in strengths and capable of being used as shared copy paper and provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: In a method for producing recording paper by using deinked pulp produced through plural processes having at least a digesting process of waste plural processes having at process, the recording paper is produced by adding minutely fibrillated cellulose to raw material pulp blended with deinked pulp obtained by treating the pulp by adding a cationic polymer in either one or more of a plurality of the processes.
