PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally-long and vertically-long shield driving machine capable of simplifying the seal structure of the connected part of each body and controlling attitudes of rolls, pitches, etc., while driving in a curve. SOLUTION: A shield frame 2 of a horizontally-long cross section is divided into a front body 3, an intermediate body 4, and a rear body 5 in the axial direction. The front body 3 is constituted of a right-side front body part 7, a center front body part 8, and a left-side front body part 9 each formed in a tubular shape. At least the right-side front body part 7 and the left-side front body part 9 are provided with cutters 6. The center front body part 8 is fixed to the intermediate body 4. The right-side front body part 7 and the left-side front body part 9 are connected to the intermediate body 4 in such a way as to be each bendable only upward and downward. The intermediate body 4 is connected to the rear body 5 in such a way as to be freely bent in the upward, downward, right, and left directions. |
