PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking paste, showing a good color generation, also capable of forming a marker excellent in weatherability, heat resistance, solvent resistance, etc. and having a high reliability, and a method for producing an electronic component by using the same marking paste. SOLUTION: This marking paste is obtained by incorporating an inorganic component (e.g. Al2O3 powder as an inorganic pigment and a glass powder as an inorganic binder) and a photosensitive organic component, and used by pasting it on the electronic part, performing an exposition and development for forming a prescribed pattern, and also baking for fixing a residual component after baking as a marker for exhibiting information such as a sign or character on the electronic component.
