PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device, employing a cathode ray tube that can fully suppress color slurring and realize markedly high image quality. SOLUTION: The display device of this invention is provided with the cathode-ray tube, having a color selection electrode 20 that is fixed to a frame 21, while tension is exerted on the electrode 20 and having an internal magnetic shield 12, that magnetically shields electron beams and with a degaussing coil 16 placed to a funnel 14 of the cathode-ray tube. The degaussing coil 16 consists of 1st and 2nd degaussing coils 16a, 16b in a pair which are placed above and below. The 1st and 2nd degaussing coils 16a, 16b have parallel parts 16a-1, 16b-1, extending nearly in parallel along upper and lower sides of the color selection electrode and wraparound parts 16a-2, 3 and 16b-2, 3 that wrap around a side face more inwardly than ridge lines of the funnel from both ends of the parallel parts, and the wraparound parts have at least one of branch parts 32a, 32b respectively at the left and right side faces of the funnel.
