PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reliable environment friendly refrigerator having a high thermal insulation performance at a low cost by employing polyurethane foam. SOLUTION: Carbon dioxide gas adsorbent 9 contained in a nonwoven fabric is placed in a space defined by a door outer box 11 and a door inner box 13. Plastic part and connecting part exhibiting no glass barrier properties of the door outer box 11 or door inner box 13 defining the space are enclosed with an enclosing film 15 exhibiting no glass barrier properties. Original liquid of a foamable thermal insulation material is then injected into the space enclosed with the enclosing film 15 to form independent bubble polyurethane foam 17.
