PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidifier to facilitate a trim in a state that heating efficiency is maintained by an underwater heater by situating a heat generating body removably from the storage area of a steam generating container. SOLUTION: The steam generating container 4 is provided to generate steam by heating water 1 by the heat generating body 2 with the water stored. The interior of the steam generating container 4 is partitioned, in a plan view, into a first heating part 17 having a low capacity wherein convection of water is suppressed and a second heating part 18 having a high capacity and the heat generating body 2 is removably situated at a storage area in a manner to be partially communicated.
