发明名称 MANUFACTURING METHOD OF NICKEL HYDROXIDE POWDER FOR ALKALI SECONDARY BATTERY
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of nickel hydroxide powder covered with cobalt hydroxide, in which diatomic cobalt hydroxide having satisfactory crystallinity is covered uniformly on the surface, and the high utilization factor on an active-material can be obtained, when the cathode of a battery is manufactured using paste method. SOLUTION: In a suspension of the nickel hydroxide powders held at 30 to 55 deg.C, while conrolling the pH of the suspension to 10.5 to 12.5 with caustic alkali, cobalt ion supplying solution containing nitrites, and ammonium ion supplying solution supplied so that the ammonium ion concentration in the suspension is set to 5 to 25 g/L, are supplied continuously at a fixed quantity, respectively. The total nickel ion concentration in the suspension is 10 to 79 mg/L, and the total cobalt ion concentration is 5 to 40 mg/L. It is desirable that the cobalt ion supplying solution that contains nitride be added at the addition rate of 0.45 g/min or less by cobalt conversion, to the nickel hydroxide powder of 1 kg in the suspension.
