PURPOSE: A windshield washer system for a vehicle is provided to prevent damage of the wiper blades or windshield in operating of wipers when washer fluid is insufficient. CONSTITUTION: In a windshield washer system including a washer motor(11) and a wiper motor(15) operated tighter by operation of a washer switch, the windshield washer system comprises a sensor(16) for sensing flow of washer fluid, installed to the discharge outlet side of the washer motor, a transistor(17) controlling motion of a relay(19) with using of a sign input from the sensor for sensing flow of washer fluid, and the relay selectively shutting off power source of the wiper motor side while interlocking with the transistor. The transistor is connected to the circuit between the washer motor and wiper motor while the base of the transistor is connected to the sensor for sensing flow of washer fluid. The relay is connected with a delay circuit(18) connected between the washer motor and wiper motor. Wipers are operated when the sensor for sensing flow of washer fluid senses that washer fluid moves into the discharge outlet.
