PURPOSE: A pilot poppet type pressure control valve is provided to surely prevent the vibrating noise generated due to the increased flow velocity by forming a seat of a pilot poppet in the shape of an arc and to improve the degree of precision of a processed section by completing a process through one-time machining. CONSTITUTION: A main poppet(3) opens and closes a path between a high-pressure chamber and a low-pressure chamber(d). A pilot poppet(6) opens and closes a middle chamber communicated with a pressure distributing chamber(f) and the low-pressure chamber in the main poppet. When a seat separated due to the shifting of the pilot poppet is opened by the movement of the operating oil in the high-pressure chamber to the low-pressure chamber, the main poppet is opened. Then, the operating oil in the high-pressure chamber is relieved to the low-pressure chamber. Thus, the pressure in the high-pressure chamber is maintained uniform. Herein, the seat is formed in the arc shape. Even if the flow velocity is increased rapidly, the destruction of vapors is avoided. Thus, the generation of noise is suppressed.
