PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive carrying device having stable performance without causing a difference in carrying force and contact pressure between rollers and giving stress to paper. SOLUTION: The diameter of a driven roller 2a at a central portion is Dt and the diameters of driven rollers 2b at both ends are Dr. If a deflection amount arising at the central portion of a driven roller holding shaft 3 when the driven rollers abut a driving roller isδ, a relationship between Dt and Dr is Dt=Dr+2×δ. In this way, the nip widths of the driven rollers 2a, 2b for abutting the driving roller 1 are made equal and the carrying force of the driven roller at the central portion is made equal to that of the driven rollers 2b at both ends, and so abutment pressure per unit contact area is made constant.
