<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a regular toll should be paid even when it takes a longer time than usual to travel at a normally determined travel speed owing to congestion caused by a traffic accident, natural congestion, etc. SOLUTION: At an entrance and an exit of a toll road, the license number of a passing vehicle is detected and whether the travel section of the passing vehicle is congested is detected in a database together with the license number and detection time; and a discount toll is computed from the storage contents according to how much the travel time of the travel section is longer than the travel time needed to travel at the prescribed speed and whether traffic congestion is caused during the travel, and displayed.</p> |
