PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently record stream data. SOLUTION: An information medium having a data region where the stream data is recorded by prescribed data units (SOBU) including time stamps (TMS) and a management region (STREAM. IFO/SR-MANGR. IFO) where the management information on the stream data is recorded is used. The information medium is so constituted that the management information includes time map information (252) in recording the information to the medium and that the time map information (252) is set by the time stamps (TMS) of the data units (SOBU).
