PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door opening and closing mechanism for an air lock device facilitating the release and connection of a driving system. SOLUTION: A key 33 is fitted to the inner surface of the boss part 34 of oscillating universal couplings 29 and 30 and to the outer peripheral surfaces of the shafts 25a and 26a of a gear box so that the shafts 25a and 26a rotate integrally with each other relative to the universal coupling 31. Also, the universal coupling 31 is contracted to release the key 35 from its fitted condition to undo the connection of the shafts 25a and 26a to the universal coupling 31.
