METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING SIGNALS IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting signals in a communication system is provided to generate a pair of turbo codings having an identical performance without increasing the constituent complexity of a communication system and to supply them to a communication system that requires different encoded signals. CONSTITUTION: A system for generating a transmitting signal using a turbo encoder consists of a basic turbo encoder(401), a switch(402), and a transmission part(408). For a signal outputted from each of the constituent encoders of the basic turbo encoder(401), the switch(402) selectively outputs a coding stream having a desired bit pattern by a serial pattern or a parallel pattern. The transmission part(408) modulates the signal outputted from the switch(402) at a desired coding rate and transmits the modulated signal to a receiving unit. The transmission part(408) is comprised of a symbol puncturing unit(404), a rate matching unit(405), an interleaving unit(406) and a modulator/spreader(407).
