PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous hollow fiber which is suitable as various fabrics for textiles and non-textiles. SOLUTION: The porous hollow fiber has hollowing features: it comprises a polyester component containing inorganic particles; a primary average particle size (μm) and an inorganic particle content (mass%) satisfy the following equations (1) to (3); the number of hollow parts and a hollow ratio satisfy the following equations (4) to (6); and the polyester has an intrinsic viscosity [η]of 0.52-0.85. 0.01<=primary average particle size (μm)<=5.0 (1) 0.05<=inorganic particle content (mass%)<=10.0 (2) 0.01<=X<=3.0 (3) Wherein, X=primary average particle size (μm)×inorganic particle content (mass%).α1>=7 (4) 2<=α2<=65 (5) 0.14<=(α1×α2)/100<=250 (6) Wherein,α1 is the number of hollow parts, andα2 is hollow ratio.
