PURPOSE: An air conditioner and control method of the same are provided to remove dew formed on a surface of a heater placed on an outlet. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioner includes a heater driving part(150) driving a heater(140); and a microcomputer(110) determining whether dew is formed on a surface of the heater according to driving time of the heater driving part and a compressor(120) to drive the heater through the heater driving part based on the determined result. The micro computer determines that dew is formed on the surface of the heater when continuous operational time or accumulated operational time of the compressor reaches preset time.
