The interactive diet control is implemented by a computing device (11). The user enters personal data and their desired weight loss using a key pad (3,4; 5-8). The program displays (2) for each meal the number of calories that can be consumed, using stored diet data. Progress can be displayed. The device can communicate with mobile telephone, pocket organizer, portable or office computer.
