<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized pipe joint device for the connection of duct lines for carrying a refrigerant for cooling electronic equipment with a small fluid resistance at a low cost. SOLUTION: This pipe joint device for connecting the refrigerant carrying pipes of an electronic equipment cooling device comprises a pair of joint members 10 and 30 mutually fitted and locked, and valve elements 20 and 40 for opening and closing passages formed in the joint members. The joint members 10 and 30 comprise hole parts 13 and 33 for forming a linear communicating passage in the fitting directions when mutually fitted, and the valve elements 20 and 40 are formed of substantially plate-like members having window-like open holes 23 and 43 formed on substantially the same straight line as the communicating passage. The valve elements are openably and closably movable between an open position where the open holes are matched to the communicating passage and a close position where the open holes are not matched thereto in the direction parallel to the plate surfaces.</p> |
