PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning device to prevent outflow of leakage refrigerant to the interior of a room and rapidly detect leakage of a refrigerant by an inexpensive constitution. SOLUTION: A CO2 refrigerant is used, and a connection part 114 where a heat exchanger 111 in an indoor machine 110 and one end of piping 112 through which a refrigerant flows are mechanically interconnected through a seal member 113 is provided. The other end of the piping 112 is extended through a partition wall 131 between an indoor 132 and an outdoor 133, and connected to an outdoor machine 120. In a so formed air conditioning device, a cover member 140 to surround a connection part 114 and piping 112 is situated between the heat exchanger 111 and the partition wall 131. A refrigerant detecting means 150 to detect the concentration of CO2 in a space is situated in a space part 141 formed inside the cover member 140 and an alarming means 160 is provided to effect alarming based on a detecting signal from the refrigerant detecting means 150. The refrigerant detecting means 150 is situated in the vicinity of the connection part 114 and the space part 141 is communicated with the outdoor 133.
