PURPOSE: An oil filter structure for an automatic transmission is provided to make operation of the automatic transmission smooth by supplying only oil to the inside of the oil filter even though an oil level inside an automatic transmission module is lowered to a lower portion of the oil filter. CONSTITUTION: An oil filter structure for an automatic transmission includes upper and lower cases(1,2) coupled with each other, upper and lower filter members(3,4) mounted at a regular interval for filtering foreign matters contained in oil, a suction hole(6) for introducing oil, a variable guide(10), a resistance plate(11), and a guide plate(13). The variable guide has an upper edge portion fixed on an inner surface of an upper end of the suction hole, and rotates on the edge portion at a predetermined angle. The resistance plate has a number of holes(12) passing oil of low viscosity and blocking oil of high viscosity. The guide plate is formed at a lower end of the variable guide for extending the suction hole by rotating downwardly when the resistance plate rotates upwardly by the movement of the oil of high viscosity. |
