The seat is fitted with a lateral airbag comprising a casing (7) fixed inside the seat padding (6). The casing has a front closing wall (5) along the padding outer surface (6a). The casing comprises a body (7a) housed in a cavity in the padding at a distance from the outer surface and a junction part (7b) between the casing body and the front wall delimiting a narrow channel (10) for passage of the airbag (8). The seat cover (9) is fixed along the edges delimiting a cut-out under an internal surface of the front wall.
