Transparent substrate incorporating a grid of metal wires and possibly a stack of thin metal layers able to prevent the transmission of near infra-red waves for use with plasma screens

A transparent substrate, notably of glass, comprises a network of metal wires in the form of a grid (21), the wires being arranged following a thickness (e) and a length (l). The thickness of the wire is between 8 nm and 12 mu m and the length is between 10 and 60 mu m. The substrate may possibly incorporate a stack of thin layers (20) incorporating at least one layer of silver. An Independent claim is also included for a plasma screen incorporating at least one such substrate.
