POWER OPERATION SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE LIFT GATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power operation system capable of moving a lift gate to a fully opening position from a closing position and to a fully closing position from an opening position. SOLUTION: The power operation system for opening and closing the vehicle lift gate (12) is supported by a vehicle roof, and a pair of driving units (22) mounted to the lift gate for opening and closing the lift gate is included. Each of this pair of driving units includes a housing (24) having a curved track (26) and a curved driving link (38) guided by the track. The curved driving link (38) is journalized on the driving link by journal pivot and is extended by a pinion gear (42) engaged with a curved rack (32) fixed to the housing to pull back. The pinion gear is rotated with a chain (50) driven in a loop by a reversible electric motor (52).
