PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer an external connection terminal attaining an improved reliability in a long-term use, a liquid crystal device provided with it and a method of manufacturing that device. SOLUTION: A drain bus line terminal 30 comprises a drain bus line end part 32 formed on a glass substrate, a protecting conductive film 34 formed on the drain bus line end part 32 and electrically connected to that part 32. The drain bus line end part 32 comprises a redundant region branching from a drain bus line 12.
