PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stainless steel sheet having a drawable range equal to that by the conventional hydraulic press, and has excellent bulging workability and hole expandability. SOLUTION: The stainless steel has a composition containing, by mass, <=0.07% (C+N), <=1.2% Si, <=5.0% Mn, 15 to 20% Cr, 5 to 9% Ni, 1.0 to 5.0% Cu and <=0.0060% S, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities. If required, the stainless steel may contain one or more kinds selected from <=0.5% Al, <=0.5% Ti, <=0.5% Nb, <=0.5% Zr, <=0.5% V, <=3.0% Mo, <=0.03% B, <=0.02% rare earth metals and <=0.03% Ca.
