PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent resin composition provided with a desired degree of hydrophilic nature in addition to hydrophobic nature and provide a transparent molded article produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The transparent resin composition is produced by compounding (A) a transparent hydrophobic polymer composed of (a1) a copolymer containing styrene as essential component and/or (a2) a (meth)acrylic polymer with (B) an N-vinylpyrrolidone polymer. The transparent molded article is produced by using the transparent resin composition.
