PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system capable of extracting more trace information and efficiently searching for it. SOLUTION: Trace information is stored in a storing part 12 from a pointer 11 of a storing part 1 for the trace information. Trace patterns are stored in each pattern part in a storing part 3 for patterns. A comparison part 22 of a control part 2 sequentially compares the trace information with the trace patterns and stores results of comparison in flag parts. The comparison part 22 communicates to a determination part 21 after it finishes checking all pattern information. When the determination part 21 determines that an effective trace pattern exists, it newly prepares trace information with a simple type from information on an ID part in a corresponding pattern information and writes the trace information to a trace region 4. When the determination part 21 determines that the effective trace pattern does not exist, it newly prepares the trace information both from information that patterns set up do not exist in the pattern information and a piece of the trace information stored in the storing part, and writes the trace information to the trace region 4.
