PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic photoreceptor low in cost, high in sensitivity and excellent in durability. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor manufactured by forming at least a photosensitive layer on a conductive substrate, the photosensitive layer is constituted of a structure composed of a region (charge transfer material) formed by using polysilane as a raw material and fine particles (charge generating material) consisting essentially of silicon. The fine particles are silicon (crystalline silicon a-Si:H) and can be distributed uniformly or in gradient concentration. The photosensitive layer is formed by using a solution in which the fine particles are dispersed.
