PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission/reception system of an electronic mail capable of reducing communication traffic, and receiving an attached file in response to requirement of a receiver. SOLUTION: In this transmission/reception system of the electronic mail, in the middle of transmission/reception after the electronic mail 36 is transmitted from a terminal 20 of a transmitter transmitting the electronic mail 36 until the electronic mail 36 reaches a terminal 24 of a receiver receiving the electronic mail 36, the attached file 37 is separated from the electronic mail 36 when the attached file 37 is attached to the electronic mail 36, and the attached file 37 is housed in a housing means 35 wherein the attached file 37 can be specified by URL. The URL wherein the attached file 37 is housed is written in the electronic mail 36, and the URL written in the electronic mail 36 is accessed, to thereby present the content of the attached file 37 to the receiver.
