PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrochemical capacitor, wherein dendrite generated on a negative electrode side of an separator is eliminated, and imperfect insulation of the separator can be prevented. SOLUTION: In an electrochemical capacitor, an electrolytic solution and a positive electrode 18 and a negative electrode 19 which are dipped in the electrolytic solution are installed; and the positive electrode 18 and the negative electrode 19 are arranged interposing a separator 15 between the electrodes. In a method for manufacturing the electrochemical capacitor, at least one porous member 20 is interposed between the negative electrode 19 and the separator 15, and charging and discharging cycle are performed at least once. After impurities have been grown as a dendrite 30 on the porous member 20, the porous member 20 is eliminated to the outside. |
