PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling system capable of reducing an energy consumption amount and besides decreased in an energy loss. SOLUTION: The cooling system comprises a load H; a cooling circuit A to cool the load by a refrigerant; a radiating mechanism 5 to radiate the heat of a refrigerant in the cooling circuit A to an external part; a refrigerant tank 8 connected to the cooling circuit A through a confluent valve 13; a cooling device 11 to keep a refrigerant in the refrigerant tank 8 at a given temperature; a controller 12 to control the opening of the confluent valve 13; and a temperature sensor 14 to detect the temperature of a refrigerant in the cooling circuit A. The controller 12 opens the confluent valve 13 when the temperature of the refrigerant in the cooling circuit A detected by the temperature sensor 14 is higher than a given temperature and the refrigerant in the refrigerant tank 8 is made confluent with the cooling circuit A and meanwhile, the cooling device 11 stops its operation when the temperature of the refrigerant in the refrigerant tank 8 is kept at a value within a given range.
