PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor stopper mechanism of a spindle motor which assures easier assembling work by extending a bearing pitch. SOLUTION: A cylindrical stopper 15 provided with pawls at the upper and lower portions thereof is held at the upper external circumferential surface of a bearing holder 1, a pawl 15a at the lower end in the cylindrical stopper 15 is engaged with an annular groove 1a provided at the upper external circumferential surface of the bearing holder 1, and a pawl 15b at the upper end in the cylindrical stopper 15 is disposed to be engaged in opposition to a projected portion 6b formed at the internal opening portion 6b of a turn table 6.
