PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling fan unit wherein the reverse flow of the air is prevented even if one of the cooling fans stops. SOLUTION: The cooling fan unit comprises a plurality of cooling fans 11 and an air shield plate 12 so provided as to individually open/close a air discharge opening of the cooling fan 11. Here, the air shield plate 12 corresponding to the cooling fan 11 which stopped its rotation is closed among the plurality of cooling fans 11 while the shield plate 12 corresponding to the cooling fan 11 that continues to rotate is opened, to prevent the reverse flow of the air.
