PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration system in which defrost water can be discharged surely without being frozen again in the drain pipe. SOLUTION: A controller is connected to a compressor protection timer operating after stopping a compressor, a high/low temperature selection timer operating if the temperature of a cooling compartment is lower than a predetermined ON temperature of compressor when the compressor protection timer times up, and a heater operation timer operating if the temperature of the cooling compartment is lower than the predetermined ON temperature of compressor when the high/low temperature selection timer times up wherein the controller performs independent conduction of a drain pipe heater in response to operation of the heater operation timer at the time other than defrosting operation.
