PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a habitable room structure which emphasizes the wooden touch thereof by positively exposing columns to the interior of the habitable room, and constructs the habitable room larger than the maximum span of a beam. SOLUTION: In a wooden building in which the columns 1 each bearing the beam 2 are arranged at predetermined spans, the habitable room 3 having a size larger than the maximum span of the beam 2 is formed, and the columns 1 which are structural materials are exposed to the interior of the habitable room. Further, according to the habitable room structure, columns which are not the structural materials are exposed to the interior of the habitable room. Alternatively, according to the habitable room structure, surfaces of each column 1 may be covered with facing materials 4, and corner beads 5 may be arranged at upper and lower ends of the habitable room 3.
