PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mass separation column of a magnetic field type mass spectrometer and a mass separating method, capable of preventing resolving power and sensitivity of a mass spectrum from deteriorating even when the sample is large in quantity. SOLUTION: The mass separation column used for the magnetic field type mass spectrometer is so constituted that heating of its pipe wall and mass separation operation of ions can be simultaneously carried out. |
