<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection of deterioration level of a battery for vehicle, which is charged by electric power that a dynamo generates, during running of the vehicle to compensate for capacity consumed at starting of the engine of the vehicle, and to detect it in a state with a battery is mounted in the vehicle, as it is. SOLUTION: Actual a real charge capacity of the battery 13 is obtained by an actual charge capacity deducing means 23A from an open circuit voltage of the battery 13 in a balanced state immediately prior to starting of an engine 3, which an open circuit voltage measuring means A measure. An ideal charged capacity is obtained by an ideal charge capacity deducing means 23B, by adding an accumulated charge current supplied from the dynamo 5 during the run of the vehicle, accompanying the starting of the engine 3, which an accumulated charge current deducing means B has been obtained. After the ideal charge capacity deducing means 23B obtains the ideal charge capacity, the ideal charge capacity is compared with the actual charge capacity of the battery 13, obtained by the actual charge capacity deducing means 23A from the open circuit voltage, which is measured by the open circuit voltage measuring means A, by a comparing means 23C, the above degradation degree of the battery 13 is detected, based on the comparison result.</p> |
