PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera for endoscope and an endoscope photographing system which permits the discrimination with high precision and corresponds to the number of items of lots of film information. SOLUTION: A resistance film 14 which discriminates the film information by a value of resistance value R and a film information part 16 composed of a recessed part disposed on an engagement part which is arranged between a light emitting device 21 of camera 3 and a light receiving device 22 are formed on a film cassette 2 and the resistance value R of the resistance film 14 is detected by the value which is obtained by potentially dividing the voltage E of electric source 34 with a fixed resistance 33. Further, the film information part 16 is detected by the number of times of the light ray which is received in the light receiving device 22 through the recessed part, the detected output is inputted into a CPU 36, the respectively corresponding pieces of film information are discriminated, the setting of photographing conditions is performed only when the pieces of film information discriminated with the different kind of discriminating means coincide one another and, thus, the discrimination with high accuracy can be obtained.
