PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device and a liquid discharge method capable of suppressing deviation of an impact position of liquid even if an attitude angle of a liquid discharge section is changed.SOLUTION: A printer to be an example of a liquid discharge device includes: a carriage having a discharge head for discharging ink droplets; a gyro sensor capable of detecting an attitude angle of the carriage; and a controller for controlling a discharge timing of the discharge head. The controller causes the discharge head to move in a carriage scanning direction and discharge ink droplets from the discharge head halfway in the movement so that printing is performed on a medium. The controller acquires an attitude angle θ including a first attitude angle around an X-axis of the carriage, a second attitude angle around a Y-axis and a third attitude angle around a Z-axis by the gyro sensor (S11). A delay value Dp is calculated to determine the discharge timing according to the detected attitude angle θ of the carriage (S12).
