PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor and a solar cell exhibiting an excellent photoelectric conversion efficiency. SOLUTION: The so-called dry solar cell 1 comprises a substrate 2, a first electrode 3 placed on the upper surface of the substrate 2, a film-like semiconductor 4 placed on the upper surface of the first electrode 3, a second electrode 5 placed on the upper surface of the semiconductor 4, and a third electrode 6 placed on the upper surface of the second electrode 5 wherein the semiconductor 4 is sandwiched between the first electrode 3 and the second electrode 5. In the solar cell 1, a rectification barrier wall exhibiting diode characteristics is preferably formed on the interface between the semiconductor 4 and at least one of the first electrode 3 and the second electrode 5. The semiconductor 4 is principally composed of titanium oxide and subjected to visualization processing in order to absorb light having a wavelength in the vicinity of the visible region. |
