PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photosensitive material for laser exposure which is free of the lowering of contrast due to an exhausted processing agent, suppresses sticking, defective conveyance and scuffing and prevents the falling of a matting agent, and to provide a very rapid processing method for the sensitive material. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains silver halide grains doped with Ir and spectrally sensitized at 700-1,500 nm in a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and contains fine particles obtained using fibers as starting material in at least one of the photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and a non-photosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer.
