PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch device with excellent operability, which enables the release of a latch and the movement of a door after that by one action. SOLUTION: This latch device is constituted so that the door 2a operating member can be latched and unlatched through the operation of the operation part 4. The operation part 4 is supported turnably on a mounting shaft 23 installed on a base-end side, made movable between a position to close an operating window 4b and a push-in position to retreat from the operating window 4b so as to open the operating window 4b, and constituted so as to make the latch released in the push-in position. Inside the open operating window 4b, there is installed a finger hooking part 22 capable of imparting operating force for moving the door 2a to a desired position by hooking fingers.
