PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing bleached pulp capable of remarkably reducing the use of bleaching agent required for bleaching pulp to have a desired whiteness degree in a method in which unbleached pulp obtained by digesting hardwood is treated in an alkaline oxygen bleaching process and subsequently treated in a multistage bleaching process. SOLUTION: In a method for producing bleached pulp by treating unbleached pulp obtained by digesting hardwood material in an alkali oxygen bleaching process and subsequently in a multistage bleaching process, the alkali oxygen bleaching process is carried out by using a three stage continuous reaction tower and solely installing a cleaning process between the second reaction tower and the third reaction tower.
