PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize a trouble caused by a roughness of a weft Y at a free end Y1 side. SOLUTION: A head main body 10 forming a reverse opening part 13 through a hook part 12 is combined with a movable member 21. At the tip side of the head main body 10, a storage recessed part 16 is formed by a first face 16a at the opening part 13 side, a second face 16b at a reed side and a horizontal third face 16c. In the head main body 10, the free end Y1 side of the weft Y is stored in the storage recessed part 16 in a deceleration time immediately before the completion of weft inserting so that the free end Y1 side of the weft can be effectively prevented from roughly coming out to the outside, getting in touch with a warp and twining around the yarn feed side of the weft Y.
