PURPOSE: A defect testing apparatus is provided to achieve improved work efficiency by testing circularity and buckling of sleeve or defect of weld in a convenient manner, while preventing accident. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting defects of a welded part(7) of a cylindrical hollow sleeve(5), comprises a bed(10) where the sleeve is mounted to be rotatable; and a plurality of movable components(24) arranged at both sides of the bed, such that the movable components move in forward and rearward directions with respect to the bed. Each of the movable components has a sensor(40) for detecting circularity of the sleeve, and the movable components are inserted into both ends of the sleeve. The sensor contacts the inner surface of the sleeve, so as to detect the variance of press force of the inner surface of the sleeve pressing the sensor during rotation of the sleeve, to thereby detect circularity and buckling of the sleeve.
