PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-circuit emulator capable of referring to and altering the memory of a user's area without need for stopping a user's program or using a DMA controller for a user, and capable of providing the user with an environment for developing software and hardware promptly without need for developing an ever chip (a microprocessor) even in the case where a functional alteration in the DMA controller has been made. SOLUTION: This in-circuit emulator is constituted of the ever chip 101 with a CPU for emulating the micro computer and a peripheral chip 109 for emulating the periphery I/O, and performs data transfer using direct memory access(DMA) between the ever chip and the peripheral chip. The peripheral chip 109 is equipped with an DMA controller 113 for controlling direct memory access. |
