摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce crosstalk between pixels, to increase contrast and to enhance resolution with reliability. SOLUTION: A reflection type picture display device 10 is connected to a piezoelectric element, and moves in a state where it is divided to four sub-fields with the 1/2 of the pixel pitch of a liquid crystal panel 12 as a basic unit, for example, whereby picture display where the number of pixels is made four times as many as usual is realized. A prism array 16 has three slopes 16a to 16c trisected corresponding to one pixel, and incident light 15a on the central slope 16b is reflected at all the same angle and width as the incident light. The incident light on the upper and the lower slopes 16a and 16c is reflected and transmitted through the central slope 16b. Therefore, numerical aperture for emitted light is kept 33% at the prism array part while keeping numerical aperture for the incident light 100%. Thus, the crosstalk is reduced, the contrast is increased, and a situation that the resolution is not enhanced is reduced.
