<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image compressor that can suppress a data quantity of an image file, while suppressing deterioration in the image quality at the same time, by obtaining the image file whose data quantity is compressed, in matching with the contents of an original image thereby reducing a transmission time of the image file and maximally utilizing a storage capacity of a storage medium which stores the image file. SOLUTION: A DCT processing section 14 divides a pixel group into square blocks and transforms each block into a frequency component. A frequency component analyzing section 30 analyzes the state of the frequency components and selects the image quality of the image file on the basis of the result of analysis, so as to adjust the data amount of the image file.</p> |
